NSPCC – Safer recruitment in education

Background

  • The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
  • The NSPCC had recently developed a new online training course, safer recruitment in education, to help teachers and education professionals better protect children and young people.

What we've done

  • The NSPCC approached EdComs to help them inform teachers and education staff about the new online course. The EdComs marketing team created an email that would capture the reader’s attention, drive traffic to the NSPCC website and encourage sign-ups to the course.

What was the outcome?

  • Course places were booked way ahead of targets.
  • Teachers and professionals working with children are recommending the course to colleagues.
  • Unique click to open and open rates were well above education sector averages.
