New resources – Science Explorers – launches as part of the BP Educational Service

We are delighted to announce that this week we launched a new BP Educational Service (BPES) resource called Science Explorers.

Science Explorers offers fun, flexible and free science learning materials for primary school pupils aged 4 to 11, and are designed to help teachers to run a Science Day or Week for their class or the whole school – whether teachers have a science background or not. Through the programme’s interactive app, videos and classroom activities, Science Explorers can support schools and teachers when encouraging engagement with science from an early age.

Science Explorers has been developed in response to research which shows teachers lack confidence when teaching science and the need for additional science teaching support.  BPES aims to support primary teachers in delivering high quality science lessons that really help young people to see themselves as scientists: Pupils will work together to answer the Big Question: “Why are living things the way they are?”

Developed with science subject specialists, backed by the latest research and designed to inspire teachers and pupils alike, Science Explorers is an exciting new science learning tool for primary schools.
